Questlove From the Roots wrote that Prince has these fantastic Roller Skates. From what I understand Prince invited him to go to a Valentines day rollerskating party. I read a blog that he wrote, and he described these skates as “clear skates that lit up, and the wheels sent a multicolored spark trail into your path. Here is the link if you would like to read it : The Time I went Roller Skating With Prince. So Questlove’s story was the inspiration for todays Prince!!! Whether this story is true or not…I have no idea! For the record though, I would love to see these skates if they really exist!

My boyfriend built a cool work area on top of our bathroom with lots of free pallets. We live in a loft in Pawtucket, RI in a building that was once a mill. Ive been using his little area lately to photograph my Prince drawings. Its cozy up here and i’m surrounded by his books so it makes me happy. I have been missing him a lot lately because he is away for work.
With this project wrapping up I have been thinking quite abit about the second phase. I have set up an account on Go Fund Me because I need to raise money for this project to reach the next level. I need to scan 365 images so I have electronic files for publishing. I also need to frame 365 images to have a gallery show. Framing is super expensive, there is no way I can afford that without some sort of help. If you would like to help out you can click on this link: http://www.gofundme.com/365daysofprince and donate whatever you can! Anything will be very appreciated !

Only 28 left to go!!! I have emailed so many magazines, publishers, blogs, and even newspapers to hopefully have the project published. All I have received in my inbox so far is one measly rejection letter. The rejection letter was from a book publisher, whom I had doubts about the fit anyway. Hopefully I can have this project printed by someone after all the hard work I have put into it. I’m sort of out of ideas of who else to contact. I have been making a serious effort as of the last couple weeks to push this project to the next level. Well enough with the rambling, here is this weeks illustrations!

Day 323 vs Day 10
Every now and then I like to post two illustrations from my project showing what a great exercise this has been for me. On Day ten I was super excited about Walking Dead being on television later that evening so I created “Zombie Prince”. I hated “Zombie Prince” from the moment I created him. I deemed him the worst Prince I ever created. I still hate him. I still think he is the worst Prince of the project. So I decided to do a redo! Here is ” Zombie Prince .2″ I actually kind of like “Zombie Prince .2”! I would kill Zombie Prince off if I could, but he is already dead. #323 is to the left & #10 is on the right.

Everyone is pretty excited about the Patriots winning the SuperBowl in Rhode island!!! I didn’t even watch the game. I spent the afternoon doing my taxes, being a carpenters assistant, and looking for a publisher for 365 days of Prince!!! Everyone has been posting about Katy Perry’s dancing shark on Facebook, so I had to check it out! I found it to be pretty amusing! That shark total forgot his dance routine or just couldn’t move in that costume. I wish he just busted out doing the robot or started twerking! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2936210/Are-worst-backing-dancers-Katy-Perry-s-supporting-shark-lost-track-choreography-goes-viral.html#v-4027129109001
